Dual-Wavelength Continuous Wave Photoacoustic Doppler Flow Measurement

چکیده

Abstract Photoacoustic Doppler flow measurement based on continuous wave laser excitation owns the merit of clearly presenting power spectra. Extending this technique to dual wavelengths can gain spectral information sample extra speed information. An experimental system with two diodes respectively operated at 405 nm and 660 is built black red dyed polystyrene beads performed. The measured spectra vividly reflect speed, direction, as well bead color. Since it straightforward further apply same principle multiple wavelengths, we expect type spectroscopic photoacoustic will be developed in near future which very useful for studying metabolism slowly moving blood cell inside microvessels.

Photoacoustic Doppler measurement of flow using tone burst excitation.

In this paper a novel technique for flow measurement which is based on the photoacoustic (PA) Doppler effect is described. A significant feature of the proposed approach is that it can be implemented using tone burst optical excitation thus enabling simultaneous measurement of both velocity and position. The technique, which is based on external modulation and heterodyne detection, was experime...

Continuous Wave Doppler Echocardiographic Measurement of Prosthetic Valve Gradients

Studies correlating prosthetic valve gradients determined by continuous wave Doppler echocardiography with gradients obtained by cardiac catheterization have, to date, been limited to patients with mitral and tricuspid prostheses or have compared nonsimultaneous measurements. Simultaneous Doppler and catheter pressure gradients in 36 patients (mean age, 63+13 years) with 42 prosthetic valves (2...

Continuous measurement of tissue blood flow by laser-Doppler spectroscopy.

Laser light scattered from tissue in vivo is broadened in line width as a result of the Doppler shift produced by moving red cells in the microcirculation. A feasibility study was carried out to demonstrate use of this effect to measure and monitor tissue blood flow. Light from a helium-neon laser illuminated a 1-mm area of tissue (human skin or rat renal cortex), and the backscattered light wa...

Continuous wave ultrasonic Doppler tomography.

In continuous wave ultrasonic Doppler tomography (DT), the ultrasonic beam moves relative to the scanned object to acquire Doppler-shifted frequency spectra which correspond to cross-range projections of the scattering and reflecting structures within the object. The relative motion can be circular or linear. These data are then backprojected to reconstruct the two-dimensional image of the obje...
